If you don’t have a piped supply, a bowser is a necessary addition to your equipment. At its most basic, it’s a large tank (this range holds 270 litres). There is a large diameter cap at the top of the unit to enable easy filling and the outlet is a 1.8m pipe (approx. 5cm diameter) with a ¼ turn tap. Fill the tank from the supply – empty the tank via the pipe into your troughs. The cap is ventilated so the water flows quickly and easily.
